Key roundabout to be closed overnight for more than two weeks

Filton's already harassed motorists are set for more closures this month when the Abbeywood roundabout will be closed from the evening until early morning for more than two weeks, creating 'significant noise'.

Filton's already harassed motorists are set for more closures this month when the Abbeywood roundabout will be closed from the evening until early morning for more than two weeks, creating 'significant noise'.
The closure is for 'essential roadworks' and will last from September 9-24, 8pm-6am.
A new surface is being laid on the road and council says the work will create a 'significant amount of noise with traffic diverted round the area while closures are in place'.
In a letter to residents, highways engineer Jo Perry said they will try to ensure all nearby residents have access to their properties and local amenities but at times this may not be possible.
She said: "Although alternative routes will be signposted while the works are in progress, it is possible delays may occur on the surrounding network."
