End-of-season rewards for squad

The annual St Vallier AFC Presentation Evening was held at the Ratepayers Arms on Saturday 13 June.

The annual St Vallier AFC Presentation Evening was held at the Ratepayers Arms on Saturday 13 June.  This end of season event celebrates the achievements of players and coaches, helps raise funds towards the progression of the club and strengthens links with Filton Town Council. 

All players are presented with a trophy to mark their performances and commitment throughout the season.  However, special prizes are also awarded within each year group to particular players in the following categories: Manager’s Player, Players’ Player, Most Improved and Clubman.  The recipients of these awards this year were:

Under 6 – Reegan Monis, Theo Wynn, Ciaran O’Donnell

Under 7 – Riley Lewis, Omar Saho

Under 8 – Jaydenzeke Monis, Jack Arathoon, Olly Monks, Scott Hamilton

Under 9 – Daniel Holbrook, Thomas Thorne, Thomas Murtagh, Noah Burand, Connor Leahy, Callum Cain, Reagan Walker, Tommy-Lee Thomas

Under 10 – Harrison Bailey, Chesney Parsons, Harry Wales, Harvey Jones, Dexter Durant, Cameron McKelvie-Warsop

Under 11 – Oliver Burand, Ellis Prewett, Caspar Hammond, Jenson Mannings

Under 12 – McKenzie Elmorssy, Jamie Davies, Ben Leahy

Under 13 – Russell Stone, Taro Parker

Under 14 – Harry Edwards, Drew Allan, Ben Braithwaite

Two additional awards were presented during the celebrations.  The Ted Baker Shield for Outstanding Contribution went to Paul and Kay Ferris of H & P Aerials for their sponsorship of the Under 10s and their years of hard work for the benefit of the club as a whole. 

The Jon Counsel Shield awarded to the Team of the Year went to the Under 12s and was collected on their behalf by their manager, Steve Millman, who is now stepping down.

The evening was a huge success and thoroughly enjoyed by players, coaches and parents.  St Vallier is a club where enjoyment of football and playing the game in the right way is encouraged from the youngest to the oldest players.  The club is proud of its association with Filton and looks forward to continued success in the future.
