The future of Conygre House is again in doubt after developers of the site decided to sell the historic building.

The future of Conygre House is again in doubt after developers of the site decided to sell the historic building.
Last month it was revealed that the long-runnig saga of the future of the house was coming to an end with plans for serviced apartments.
A further plan was being submitted to build a new apartment block in the grounds.
But now developers Bristol Property Partnership have decided to press on with plans for 10 serviced apartments in the new building - but sell Conygre House.
The house is now up for auction later this month at a guide price of £385,000.
Planning permission is in place for seven flats in Conygre House but the auction information indicates there may be scope to increase this to nine. It is estimated these flats could sell in a range of prices from £155,000 to £235,000.
Developer Ashley Rigg said: "We've not the changed the overall plan. Our plan is still to have serviced apartments on the new section of the site but very disappointingly we can't now afford to develop both Conygre House and the new build.
"The house is being sold as an opportunity to convert into residential flats and I would be very surprised if the new owner diverted from this strategy as it's the best use for the land."
Last month it had been revealed the original plans could have led to the house losing its  'look', it has been revealed.
Town councillors were told that the developers were considering rendering the building - for insulation purposes.
Councillors said they had understood the visual integrity of the building would be preserved. 
The building, at the bottom of Conygre Road near the junction with Filton Avenue, is a centuries-old former farmhouse and has been the subject of debate for several years.
Owners South Glos Council decided to sell the building in 2005 and there were hopes in 2013 that a counselling organisation would take it over.
That deal fell through, leaving the building and gardens with an uncertain future until developers Bristol Property Partnership bought the building and site.
Back in 2013, Filton residents packed into a meeting of South Glos Council at which they persuaded councillors not to sell the building off for possible demolition. At the time councillors voted unanimously to sell the landmark house to counselling organisation Network Counselling for £250,000 - the lower of two bids on the table.
