Young footballer teams up again to give kit to children in African country

More children from The Gambia have benefited from the donation of football kit donated by Filton's St Vallier football team.
Last year we reported how St Vallier player nine-year-old Omar Saho, along with his dad Kalifa, hand delivered the items, which included shirts, shorts and boots, to the pupils of Gunjur Kulukochi Community pre-school.
Now they have donated more kit - two full sets - to Omar Bunjeng Memorial School and although Omar and his dad Kalifa could not be there in person this time, Kalifa's brother Iamin was present to hand over the kit.
Kalifa, who moved from The Gambia to the UK in 2005, said the children in The Gambia were again so grateful to receive the strips.
When they visited last year, it was Omar's first time visiting the West African country, but Kalifa has spent many years raising funds for people in The Gambia with disabilities, and donating prosthetic limbs.
At the time, Kalifa said: "It was a really beneficial experience for Omar to visit the school. I have always taught my son the importance of giving.”
St Vallier AFC trains at Elm Park playing field.
Teams range from Under 6s to Under 14s.
