Friends and family gathered to recall the life of Councillor Doug Daniels and to re-name the bar in the community association in his memory.
The popular Northville councillor died aged 93 last year and several tributes have been organised to remember him.
As well as the bar being named ‘Doug’s Watering Hole’, the town council pavilion will be named after him and rose beds in the community garden have also been dedicated. Doug’s funeral saw people from all walks of life attend to pay respects to the ex-Rolls-Royce chief engineer.
Among guests at the community association were his niece Penny Carpenter and stories about Doug were shared by those attending.
