St Andrew’s Methodist Church is set to become a multi-use community facility.
Part of the building will be sold to counselling organisation Network Counselling, which previously was set to take over Conygre House in Filton.
It is understood the transformation will be complete within 12 months and an Open Day has been organised to show local people what to expect. The Open Day will be held on Saturday, October 8. Full details in next month’s issue.
A spokesperson said: “St Andrew’s Methodist Church, at Elm Park in Filton, is changing! When the work is completed, in about a year’s time, the church itself will be a multi-use building, with excellent facilities. We are inviting our local community to visit us on October 8th between 10.30 am and 3.00 pm to view the plans for the church, to find out what we have in store for the future, and how the new facilities might be of benefit to local people.
“There will be displays of some of the things we have on offer, and refreshments will be provided.
“Part of our premises is being sold to Network Counselling, an organisation that provides a service to people who need to talk through their problems as well as training for people who want to help others in this way.
“They will also have a display at the Open Day.”
